We had Hubby's birthday with his family the day after we arrived from Malaysia. Phew, so that was pretty tiring.

Especially since while we were away, a tomcat came in and sprayed absolutely everywhere in the kitchen and the hallway so I had to do a massive job of mopping the whole house first thing in the morning. :-(

But the birthday tea went well. I gave him a GPS-enabled PDA, a breadmaker, and lotsa books for him to read. He got sweets, chocolates, pizza platter, a funny plant and a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!! from his family and friends. I think I might use the fountain for my birthday :-P

A week after that, I attended a jazz musical at the college where I work. It wasn't proper jazz but it was still good and the singers (who were Ox*ford students) had amazing voices.

This past weekend, we went to Terry Prachett's Going Postal play and it was great!! I'm a bad reviewer but it was a student play and although it was a small production, they intepreted Pratchet's wild imagination very well (although I haven't read the book but I can't wait now).

Job wise is ok-ish. I *really* want to have a finance job so will start on an ACCA course soon. I'll seriously start looking for a job like now, but I will need to get a paycut *gulps* Oh, I did get a raise from my boss recently. Not much at all, but enough for a cheap meal every month :-P If I'm still here in August they'll give me more but not sure if I want to be by then :-P
