Hiya, how are you guys doing? I've been pretty busy with work. And praticing long distance walking with Hubby in the weekends, in preparation for his charity walk.

I'm off today cos last night I went to a work's event. It was held here in London and was for the alumni of the Oxford College I'm working for. It was black tie and it took 5 hours for me to find a dress last weekend! This is what I wore (from this shop:

I also wore a pair of cheap high heels I got for a tenner and a dainty navy, velvet, beaded 20's style handbag my sister got for me years ago.

Overall, I thought it was boring lol. It started off with the Master giving the College Grace (i.e. doa makan tapi dalam Latin) and we raised our glasses and toasted the Queen. Lord C*h*r*i*s P*a*t*t*e*n (Chancellor of Oxford Uni) who was the guest of honour gave a mighty boring speech! I wasn't sat with the most friendliest people and thought some of them were a bit snobbish :-( But I was saved by a man who works in tv news and he was a good storyteller.

The food was mediocre, I couldn't believe it cost the College £90 per head for a four course meal. £20 was more like it. The reception room was gorgoues and the dinner hall was grand but thought they had ugly paintings on the wall lol:

There is one or two more work events I may go and although it can be fun, I don't think it's for me. It was an eperience but I found the environment stuffy. Oh well.
