Xmas 2006
Date: Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005
Time:9:01 p.m.

Merry Christmas everyone! Shall I tell you what's been going on in the holiday season? Well, we celebrated christmas at one of Hubby's sister's place. It's been renovated so she wanted to show it off so we had dinner there.

On the morning of christmas, Hubby and I exchanged pressies. I gave him many little things, I'll just list them here for memories sake...some of them may sound weird and tacky :-)
1. Seinheisser noise cancellation headphones
2. a cook book
3. Discworld book
4. funky nailbrush
5. flamingo bubble blower
6. funky corn cobs holders
7. rose candle in a tin
8. cat magnets
9. training chopsticks

Hubby gave me:
1. Button/badge maker kit!!!...I've wanted this since I was 13!
2. Curious parfum with parfum roll-on and lipgloss...I only wanted it cos it came with the old-fashion pump thingy ...the smell isn't bad but I refuse to say it's B****** S*****'!!
3. Table-top grill pot
4. Fruitsbasket manga book
5. A book on tacky Britain I love it :-)
6. Set of three fancy notebooks
7. Cat ring holder
8. Fancy, Victorian, EGL-like umbrella with frills :-)
9. Paper dolls!
10 Rabbit-shaped chocolate.

I love all my gifts, I hope my Hubby loves his too. We got a set of relish jars, square plates, slate coasters, a spinning top game, some playing cards and a Peanuts book from his parents. Didn't give anyone pressies cos everyone is broke this year, but we did buy stuff for the nieces and nephews.

The next day, we had another christmas dinner, but at our place. While Hubby's dad was cooking it, Hubby and I went for a lovely walk by the river, towards the city center. Almost bought ANOTHER coat from Gap, that would have been the third coat bought in less than 3 months, someone please stop me!

The dinner was lovely and later, we played Perudo (dice game) and Seven (cards). They put me in a bad mood in one of the Seven rounds, but it was great fun overall. Played till really late and the next day (today) we went to Bristol to pick Hubby's youngest sis and her boyfriend.

We met them at Ikea! I haven't been there in years and unfortunately, it disspointed me a lot. The things there aren't as cheap as they used be, there didn't seem a lot of variety, and our favourite glasses weren't there anymore!!!

But I did get a huge round mirror for our bedroom, a set of nice cups and saucers, a water/wine jug, and some Swedish food goodies.

Hubby is going back to work tomorrow, I won't until the 3rd so hopefully his family can leave me alone and get on with my sewing...I miss it ^_^
