Bad stuff
Date: Thursday, Jun. 23, 2005

The weather is hot. HOT. And I hate it. Seriously, it's too hot even for British's standard summer.

This country is not built for this weather. The houses are built to keep the heat in not out. No built in fans or a/c. My bedroom is the hottest room in the house simply because the tv and the pc generate excess heat. We use a teeny weeny vintage fan that is so loud we have to shout in order to hear ourselves.

And our freezer finally broke down last week. It broke down just a day after I bought food worth £110 :-( ALL of them had to be thrown away and for days now Hubby and I have been surviving on bread with eggs and rice with canned chilli con carne (NEVER make it yourself, the canned ones are the best).

The good news is that the new freezer will be arriving tomorrow. The bad news is that it is 4 times smaller than the old one. The old one was so huge we had to put it in the shed. You can put 2 men in there, no problem.

Do you want to hear more bad news? Well, our last fish, the one we loved the most, Wendy, died two days ago. This time I didn't cry, I was too busy scoffing down eggs on toasts because I hadn't eaten for 10 hours. How sad is that? Getting rid of my hunger is more important than the death of my precious pet fish.

We went to the dentist yesterday. For the first time ever, Hubby did not need a second and third appointments!! He only had his teeth cleaned. No extra fillings. WOW.

I'm pretty sure the condition of your teeth is heridetary and I am sure my family have excellent teeth. The last time I had a filling was when I was 12. Hubby's was 6 months ago. He usually has an average of 3 fillings a year! His brother always has root canal problem and his sister fillings.
