transit entry

Place: Doha Airport, Qatar.

Helloooo. We are at a posh lounge in Doha (Qatar) airport, on transit. We are on our way back to UK, and didn't realise that the flight is more than 7 hours away! So, we thought we'd go into this lounge thingy...

It's not bad, there's broadband Internet and tons of yummy finger sandwiches:) The bathroom is clean and the only one using it is me so woohoo...I hate public bathrooms. The sofas are comfy and I slept for an hour on one. And there are only 4 people here. Not bad for US$40!

Anyway, I thought the trip back home was too swift :( Both of us thought the 4 nights we spent in KL were wasted. I only managed to see my friends briefly:( Although I think we did more things this time...but why do we think otherwise???

AND, the first night we were at my mom's house in Ipoh, we got ROBBED! The thief climbed up the outside pipe up to the first floor's bathroom which was surprising. But I guess, when someone wants money badly (for drugs no doubt), they'd do anything.

Fortunately, since we've been robbed before and there have been a couple of attempts, my family are used to keeping their precious possesions in their locked rooms. For us, however, well, we were very tired from the trip from KL so we forgot to lock our door...we never do it in Oxford anyway, so it's not a habit:(

So, you guessed it, only our money got stolen...all RM1100 of it. I didn't mind it so much, because although it was 140 Pounds, at least we weren't attacked (we later found out that he took a knife from the kitchen, and later exchanged it for a more deadlier one, my dad's cable cutter knife, it looks like a sabit).

What I am furious though, is the fact that he dared to go into our bedroom whislt we were asleep! With the lights on! And he had a knife! If either of us had woken up, it was highly possible we could have got hurt, or died.

Anyway, enough of this...we will try to get our money back through our travel insurance, I'm not sure if it will work...WISH US LUCK.

I will write about the Msia trip later. *Sighs* I miss my family so much. But at the same time, I need to be home in Oxford again. Why does it have to be this hard?
